Hey all,
thought i drop by telling you guys about my uni life :)
Lectures started on the 5th of Oct with an introduction of the Built Facility and the Construction Industry and an hour of Construction Science. Construction Science was all about Stress and Strain. I've learnt it all already from A levels Physics, so the class was actually refreshing my knowledge on that chapter in A level Physics.
I was trying to concentrate in class, but I couldn't really catch what the lecturers were saying because there were a lot of ill people in class :( My seniors here said it's the Freshers' flu. Some of their coughs sounds very bad as well. Because of people coughing like 5 times in a minute, I am so determined to come 30 minutes early to class just to sit in the front row.
Other than classes, my housemates are 3 Bruneians. It's great though, but I have to really work things out with them, we gotta be a team in keeping the house clean and not wasting energy. Internet connection will only be available in the house on the 27th of Oct apparently.. V***** M**** lied, that's why you don't see me going online nowadays, and I always have to go the library to use the computers to download lectureres notes and assignments, even when I don't have classes, and mind you it's about 20 minutes walk to the university. I would say it's easier for me to go back home from uni but kinda tired to walk to the uni. HAHA
There was suppose to be another lecture today at 2:00 to 3:00 but it's cancelled, so now i'm actually waiting for the time to pass by until 3:30 for my personal tutor meeting.
I haven't been eating properly eversince I came here, I don't know how to cook! And I do regret not learning back at home :(
I have bread and cereal for most of my meals and mee-goreng only. My fault for being uninterested in cooking. Well, at least I have housemates who knows how to cook and later on tonight dinner, I'm gonna learn! YAY!
I realised that I've taken things for granted back home in Brunei where cook delicious food is ready on the table waiting for me just to dig in, and washing dishes, laundry.. watching tv whenever I want to without worrying about electricity bills.
I'm not complaining or saying that I miss Brunei and that I hate it here.
I actually like it here, where I'm still LEARNING to take care of myself which is a good start here in the UK.
Well, guess i better get going to the URS building for the personal tutor meeting.
Laters...
